Information

Class times: 9:00–11:30 a.m. (Car drop off and pick up available in winter months.)
• Nut-free snack policy
• Main registration in January, but continues year round as space is available
• We are a ministry of Christ Bible Church, and as such are exempt from licensure

by law, but are aware of Pennsylvania Childcare Codes and committed to on-
going self-regulation. Ministry policies which govern the preschool operations are

consistent with the constitution of Christ Bible Church.
• Precious Beginnings Preschool does not discriminate against students on the basis of
race, religion, national origin or biological gender.

Involvement

We love getting to know our families, and welcome volunteers on many occasions, like Cook-n-Book volunteer day each month, field trips and class parties. There are also events which strengthen our preschool community, such as:

  • Spring Rummage Sale
  • Mother’s Day Tea
  • The Spring Art Show
  • Graduation/Ice Cream
  • Sundae Social

Mission

Precious Beginnings Preschool exists as a ministry of Christ Bible Church to provide a foundation of early Christian education with the focus of developing the whole child, teaching them about Jesus Christ, in character and curriculum, as revealed in the Holy Scriptures.

Curriculum

  • Teachers interact with children in large and small group learning activities as they introduce and support readiness skill development in all domains. Our learning goals for each age level align with the Pennsylvania Early Learning Standards for preschool age children. The curriculum is called Get Set For School.
  • Bible lessons encourage each child’s spiritual and social-emotional growth, and are integrated throughout the learning experience.

Class Focus

Threes (2 Mornings A Week)

  • Introduction of readiness skills
  • Introduction to letter and number formation
  • Facilitate increased expressive/receptive language
  • Spiritual and social-emotional growth

Pre-K Fours (4 Mornings A Week)

  • Further development of readiness skills
  • Introduction to printing letters, numbers
  • Introduction to reading words
  • Spiritual and social-emotional growth

Pre-K Fives (4 Mornings A Week)

  • Continued development of readiness skills
  • Skilled printing of letters and numbers
  • Introduction to reading words
  • Friday Fundays
  • Spiritual and social-emotional growth

Extended Day Activities

Lunch Bunch (1 hour) and Extendo Day (3 hours)
programs are available for all students.
